If you are looking for a great place in the right location with lots of activities...you've found it! Game room area with pool table, Tv, poker table, and arcade game! Resort style back yard with lots of fun activities : Basketball court, volleyball, badminton, handball, horse shoe, corn hole ,bocce ball and your own private golf net to keep your swing in tune ! When your done playing you can go for a swim or lounge around in our new 10 person jacuzzi. Also, lots of sitting area's with outdoor umbrellas and new gas bbq!
County estate located only one mile from Leoness Cellars! Home is 4200 square feet of living space with 5 bedroom and 3 full baths. Large kitchen with plenty of seating in the breakfast area and dinning area.

~Security cameras located only in the front of the home for everyone's protection
~Pool heating only available during warmer months, April thru mid October - Fees will apply depending on outdoor temperature at the time of heating and desired water temperature. Will require an additional pool heating deposit.
~ Jacuzzi heating available year round- additional fees will apply, measured by the amount of propane used to heat jacuzzi, typically $40 to have jacuzzi water to 102 degrees for 3 hours of use.
~Home is located in a quiet neighborhood . Please note that per our house rules and County ordinance #847 - Occupancy limits and quiet hours between 10pm and 8am are strictly enforced.

Sarah P.Casa Contenta was perfect for our recent girls weekend. We comfortably slept 8 in the house. The owners/property managers did a great job showing us around and making sure we felt comfortable.
While the house is lovely and met all our needs, NOTHING compares to the backyard, the view, and the outdoor experience at this place. The view, the pool/jacuzzi, the outdoor eating areas (did I mention the VIEW?) all had us believing we were in Tuscany instead of Temecula. It was truly spectacular.
The house was also easy to find and really close (10 minute drive, max) to local wineries and grocery stores/shops. So while we felt like we were at a retreat, we weren't far from civilization (or from an Uber to take us there).
There were small things inside the house that were dated or showing their 'antique charm', but nothing that put a damper on our overall enjoyment.
Overall a fantastic find and we all want to go back! Thanks, John!

Great kitchen for cooking while drinking wine and creating wonderful meals with family. The views were better than any restaurant to linger and enjoy leisurely breakfasts and dinners. The pool and weather perfect. I can't say enough and was surprised to find such an unexpected countryside treasure which made us feel like we were in the Italian wine country.

This house is not for the minimalistic people of the world, but for the incurable romantics. Who are able to look past a few dodgy tables and wobbly chairs and ENJOY the property for what it really is, a WONDERFUL dream that will transform you to the Temecula of the 50-s, BUT with an EXCELLENT and WELL MAINTAINED fullsize pool, jacuzzi and outdoor barbecue area. The house is lovably decorated and it will embrace you from the moment you enter it. We loved every moment. It is by the way VERY private and a hedonist´s dream. The company that handles the rental performs faultlessly. If we will be back? YES!

Judi G.Tustin, CaliforniaThe setting and spaces were lovely, like a movie set. Walking through the front door, our jaws dropped at the beauty inside and beyond to the Mt. Paloma view. French doors, antique furnishings and homey touches made our group feel pampered and relaxed. The outside patios and seating areas were lovely to look at and enjoy the views from.
The many bedrooms afforded our group of 7, plenty of privacy, yet the space was warm and welcoming.
My only negative comment would be that some of the furnishings were quite fragile, like movie props. The dining room chairs were antiques, but for a sit down meal, the only place indoors for our group to sit together. The upholstered chairs in that space needed new springs, as one would sink if sitting in the center of the chair. We made do - we perched! It was fine. Also a large mirror in the living room looked as if the chair beneath it was holding it up and the mirror was askew. We dared not straighten it.
Other than those few things, the family room area adjacent to the kitchen and kitchen table were PERFECT! We were there most of the time. The beautiful living room was gorgeous and comfortable, too!
The bed in the Master was a bit firm (bring your own pillow), but I believe everyone else slept fine.
The home was perfect for the ladies, men might find it a bit fussy and I would not recommend for families wih children. I would be afraid something would get broken.
This was my first time using any kind of rental home. I will do it again! Thanks to Home Away, our Bride-to-be and her friends and family had a memorable weekend!

Anna N.What an amazing home with breathtaking views! We were blown away by all that the backyard had to offer, so many quaint places to enjoy. Our entire family voted this the best house on our 10 day trip to California. The home decor was so inviting and the beds were very comfortable. The location is prime as well. We were a 5 minute drive from dozens of vineyards, what more could you ask for! John was so friendly and readily available. We also really appreciated the bottle of local Chardonnay and cheese and crackers that were left for us. This is a very special home and we were blessed to have stayed here. Until next time...

Tamara R.We stayed a short two nights and it certainly wasn't long enough. The architectural details of the home took my breath away from the start. There really are no words to describe how beautiful the home is and how thoughtful the homeowners have been with their decorative choices. I felt like I transported in time to a Casablanca set, or maybe Romeo and Juliet, with all of their balconies (4 on my count). Piano, old silver, decanters, wood trim, exposed cathedral beams. . .and that's just the lounge. The outdoor space has no less then five "rooms" to sit and enjoy a beverage and a book. The backyard must have been designed by a professional, with hedges and stairs leading to a gated pool and separate spa. There is a monks table off the main family room which served us well for our meals. There's lots of elbow room from the neighbors so we felt like we were in our own oasis. The gated driveway is lined by tall Cypress trees that lead to the entrance.
We came with children and my 70 year old mother. It is important for those with older family to know that four of the sleeping rooms are up a long tiled flight of stairs. My mom didn't have a problem with it but if my father were with us they would have had to sleep in the downstairs room, a queen bed, shared bathroom. The master suite upstairs is lush and rich with a king bed, antique looking furnishings, large balcony, and private bathroom. The ceiling in the master has exposed beams on the part of the room, it's very beautiful. The other rooms had elegant bedding, sizable closets, the rooms themselves were not terribly large but perfect for the function of sleeping. The whole house feels both welcoming and very upscale. The furnishings really speak to the imagination of the owners and we relished in that. For all of my siblings we found a good vibe and our mood was positive the whole trip. We couldn't have asked for a better home to have our family reunited.
In a lovely way it seems the owners are still very much a part of the house. That level of care given to the house sets it apart from others. We've stayed at vacation rentals throughout California and this was the most remarkable. We will absolutely stay again.

We spent a week here for our daughters wedding and it was so nice to have this amazing piece of property to come home to after doing our "wedding festivities" each day. The pool and hot tub got their share of use!! Items to make sure you have prior to spending your first night: COFFEE :) dish soap and paper towels. Also, you need to take note and keep track of your personal items. While the home is decorated beautifully you can loose them among the nick-nacks and such. If visiting the area again we would most definitely stay here again. It is very welcoming. Thank you to the owners for sharing their home with us!!!

Ryan W.Me and my college friends were in town for a wedding. While Temeculah is a bit of hike to get to, especially in LA traffic, the destination of this house made it worth it. The pool was amazing, the house was beautiful, and the management made it easy to use. The house was so large, even with a max capacity, there were rooms we didn't even get to and a lot of space on the grounds we didn't get to explore. Great place for bringing a group of friends or family.

Brie B.Manhattan BeachAs we drove up, we were amazed at the beautiful grounds, circular driveway, and spectacular view. Stepping over the threshold, it was like stepping into a past era of days of old Hollywood glam from the 20’s and 30’s. Comfortably and beautifully decorated with family belongings, this house is warm and welcoming. It is obviously a well-loved home. The grounds are fabulous! With multiple seating and dining areas spread throughout the property, this again reminds one of another time of garden parties and social gatherings. John, the property manager, was very accommodating, as we had to change our schedule more than once. He walked us through the property, detailing how the pool, spa, and HVAC systems worked. Then he left us to enjoy our stay. Our daughter was married that week so we spent much of our time coming and going to the venue, not really taking advantage of the home. Not only was it homey and relaxing, it was more cost effective to stay than hotel rooms for the week. We hope to stay once again so the house can enfold us into its charm.

Relaxation Perfection/I want to come back!

Caitlin C.I loved this house! It was so perfect, everything I expected and more! The hot tub time was just enough and the pool didn't need to be heated (at least not in the summer time). We were here over 4th of July and could see the town fire works from the little hill behind the grill, which was super awesome.
There is a LOT of stuff though, on one hand it's really homey and I loved that. I kind of felt like a detective piecing together the type of people who own the home, I won't give anything away but they seem like a really cute family! On the other hand, if you bring stuff with you, please be aware that if you do not keep it separate completely you will leave stuff behind! You don't need to bring anything from a kitchen utensil perspective and there are also already some pool floats in the pool.
Be aware that it is quite large for 13 people during the day and 10 at night. I highly recommend this place for quiet relaxation for a family of multiple generations. I hope to someday bring my family here for a holiday, like Xmas or Thanksgiving if it's open.

DannyProperty view and rear yard is breathtaking. We used the BBQ and made a ridic meal which we are under the gazebo. Through the football around in the green grassy area, and overall just CHILLAXED, which is what this home is all about. There are so many sitting areas around the grounds you could literally host a party of 50 and everyone would be comfortable!
The host was very accommodating and it was nice knowing he was only a phone call away for any questions. And we did have some questions, one of which was that there is apparently only TWO rolls of toilet paper (per bathroom), ONE roll of papertowels, and ONE trash bag provided, per the property manager. So once you use those up, you're on your own! Very surprising and very inconvenient to discover that half way through our stay. Never stayed at a vacation rental with such purposeful limited necessities. There were also some twinkle lights wrapped around the spa area trees and we wished they worked but they were broken :-(
There are no blinds on the windows, like another reviewer said, so if you don't want to wake up at dawn, just come prepared with an eye mask like we did and you'll be fine. And speaking of mornings, there were some beautiful song birds that woke us up... at dawn. It was nice, but also annoying and we ended up putting on a smart phone white noise app to drawn them out. They were beautiful, but surprisingly loud! The property is very peaceful in general though. It was hard for us to leave each day to go wine tasting!
And I don't agree with what another reviewer said as far as the home being dated. It's actually decorated pretty awesome for the look they're going for. There are probably a bit more decorations than needed, but someone spent time and effort making this home look how it is and we appreciated it.
Overall we would still come back next time we are in the area to wine taste, and we did very much enjoy ourselves and the tranquilness of the property. We'll just make sure we come prepared with paper-towels, trash bags, and TP!

The dining room chairs were antiques, but for a sit down meal, the only place indoors for our group to sit together. The upholstered chairs in that space needed new springs, as one would sink if sitting in the center of the chair. We made do - we perched! It was fine. Also a large mirror in the living room looked as if the chair beneath it was holding it up and the mirror was askew. We dared not straighten it.
Other than those few things, the family room area adjacent to the kitchen and kitchen table were PERFECT! We were there most of the time. The beautiful living room was gorgeous and comfortable, too!
The bed in the Master was a bit firm (bring your own pillow), but I believe everyone else slept fine.
The home was perfect for the ladies, men might find it a bit fussy and I would not recommend for families wih children. I would be afraid something would get broken.
This was my first time using any kind of rental home. I will do it again! Thanks to Home Away, our Bride-to-be and her friends and family had a memorable weekend!

Anna N.What an amazing home with breathtaking views! We were blown away by all that the backyard had to offer, so many quaint places to enjoy. Our entire family voted this the best house on our 10 day trip to California. The home decor was so inviting and the beds were very comfortable. The location is prime as well. We were a 5 minute drive from dozens of vineyards, what more could you ask for! John was so friendly and readily available. We also really appreciated the bottle of local Chardonnay and cheese and crackers that were left for us. This is a very special home and we were blessed to have stayed here. Until next time...

Tamara R.We stayed a short two nights and it certainly wasn't long enough. The architectural details of the home took my breath away from the start. There really are no words to describe how beautiful the home is and how thoughtful the homeowners have been with their decorative choices. I felt like I transported in time to a Casablanca set, or maybe Romeo and Juliet, with all of their balconies (4 on my count). Piano, old silver, decanters, wood trim, exposed cathedral beams. . .and that's just the lounge. The outdoor space has no less then five "rooms" to sit and enjoy a beverage and a book. The backyard must have been designed by a professional, with hedges and stairs leading to a gated pool and separate spa. There is a monks table off the main family room which served us well for our meals. There's lots of elbow room from the neighbors so we felt like we were in our own oasis. The gated driveway is lined by tall Cypress trees that lead to the entrance.
We came with children and my 70 year old mother. It is important for those with older family to know that four of the sleeping rooms are up a long tiled flight of stairs. My mom didn't have a problem with it but if my father were with us they would have had to sleep in the downstairs room, a queen bed, shared bathroom. The master suite upstairs is lush and rich with a king bed, antique looking furnishings, large balcony, and private bathroom. The ceiling in the master has exposed beams on the part of the room, it's very beautiful. The other rooms had elegant bedding, sizable closets, the rooms themselves were not terribly large but perfect for the function of sleeping. The whole house feels both welcoming and very upscale. The furnishings really speak to the imagination of the owners and we relished in that. For all of my siblings we found a good vibe and our mood was positive the whole trip. We couldn't have asked for a better home to have our family reunited.
In a lovely way it seems the owners are still very much a part of the house. That level of care given to the house sets it apart from others. We've stayed at vacation rentals throughout California and this was the most remarkable. We will absolutely stay again.

We spent a week here for our daughters wedding and it was so nice to have this amazing piece of property to come home to after doing our "wedding festivities" each day. The pool and hot tub got their share of use!! Items to make sure you have prior to spending your first night: COFFEE :) dish soap and paper towels. Also, you need to take note and keep track of your personal items. While the home is decorated beautifully you can loose them among the nick-nacks and such. If visiting the area again we would most definitely stay here again. It is very welcoming. Thank you to the owners for sharing their home with us!!!

Ryan W.Me and my college friends were in town for a wedding. While Temeculah is a bit of hike to get to, especially in LA traffic, the destination of this house made it worth it. The pool was amazing, the house was beautiful, and the management made it easy to use. The house was so large, even with a max capacity, there were rooms we didn't even get to and a lot of space on the grounds we didn't get to explore. Great place for bringing a group of friends or family.

Brie B.Manhattan BeachAs we drove up, we were amazed at the beautiful grounds, circular driveway, and spectacular view. Stepping over the threshold, it was like stepping into a past era of days of old Hollywood glam from the 20’s and 30’s. Comfortably and beautifully decorated with family belongings, this house is warm and welcoming. It is obviously a well-loved home. The grounds are fabulous! With multiple seating and dining areas spread throughout the property, this again reminds one of another time of garden parties and social gatherings. John, the property manager, was very accommodating, as we had to change our schedule more than once. He walked us through the property, detailing how the pool, spa, and HVAC systems worked. Then he left us to enjoy our stay. Our daughter was married that week so we spent much of our time coming and going to the venue, not really taking advantage of the home. Not only was it homey and relaxing, it was more cost effective to stay than hotel rooms for the week. We hope to stay once again so the house can enfold us into its charm.

Caitlin C.I loved this house! It was so perfect, everything I expected and more! The hot tub time was just enough and the pool didn't need to be heated (at least not in the summer time). We were here over 4th of July and could see the town fire works from the little hill behind the grill, which was super awesome.
There is a LOT of stuff though, on one hand it's really homey and I loved that. I kind of felt like a detective piecing together the type of people who own the home, I won't give anything away but they seem like a really cute family! On the other hand, if you bring stuff with you, please be aware that if you do not keep it separate completely you will leave stuff behind! You don't need to bring anything from a kitchen utensil perspective and there are also already some pool floats in the pool.
Be aware that it is quite large for 13 people during the day and 10 at night. I highly recommend this place for quiet relaxation for a family of multiple generations. I hope to someday bring my family here for a holiday, like Xmas or Thanksgiving if it's open.

DannyProperty view and rear yard is breathtaking. We used the BBQ and made a ridic meal which we are under the gazebo. Through the football around in the green grassy area, and overall just CHILLAXED, which is what this home is all about. There are so many sitting areas around the grounds you could literally host a party of 50 and everyone would be comfortable!
The host was very accommodating and it was nice knowing he was only a phone call away for any questions. And we did have some questions, one of which was that there is apparently only TWO rolls of toilet paper (per bathroom), ONE roll of papertowels, and ONE trash bag provided, per the property manager. So once you use those up, you're on your own! Very surprising and very inconvenient to discover that half way through our stay. Never stayed at a vacation rental with such purposeful limited necessities. There were also some twinkle lights wrapped around the spa area trees and we wished they worked but they were broken :-(
There are no blinds on the windows, like another reviewer said, so if you don't want to wake up at dawn, just come prepared with an eye mask like we did and you'll be fine. And speaking of mornings, there were some beautiful song birds that woke us up... at dawn. It was nice, but also annoying and we ended up putting on a smart phone white noise app to drawn them out. They were beautiful, but surprisingly loud! The property is very peaceful in general though. It was hard for us to leave each day to go wine tasting!
And I don't agree with what another reviewer said as far as the home being dated. It's actually decorated pretty awesome for the look they're going for. There are probably a bit more decorations than needed, but someone spent time and effort making this home look how it is and we appreciated it.
Overall we would still come back next time we are in the area to wine taste, and we did very much enjoy ourselves and the tranquilness of the property. We'll just make sure we come prepared with paper-towels, trash bags, and TP!

Making my 60th an adventure to remember

Jacki M.The layout and privacy of this home was essential for the over 60 "senior" crowd that just happen to be my guests for my 60th birthday. Ample room for parking, ample room in the kitchen for the wanna-be chefs, ample room at the BBQ for the BBQ masters and the additional nice touch of having a bar available for the festivities. Even though we had rain, lightening and thunder, the covered patio and furniture allowed us to enjoy ourselves outside regardless of the added moisture. The other added amenity was the only bedroom that shared a bathroom off the master suite...perfect for the snoring spouse! Again a much needed area for the senior crowd.

Ample room to move around in and quiet areas were enjoyed by all. Issues with various problems we ran into were dealt with timely and resolved.

Walked into the house and was blown away in how beautiful and big it was. The bedrooms each have their own bathroom loved that, big kitchen enough room for everyone. Living area was spacious. Backyard was spacious with enough seating area for everyone and the pool was the perfect size,my grandkids enjoy it. Would definitely stay here again with a large group. Thanks again John

Lisa M.House and pool are beautiful. Plenty of space to stretch out and relax or cook a huge meal to enjoy with your family or group. We had a lot of family and the en-suites make it all worth it with the privacy factor. Pool was smaller than perceived in the picture but plenty big enough for us to enjoy. You're about 20 minutes away to great shopping, restaurants and the casino. We didn't partake in the wineries but they were everywhere and the area is beautiful. I would highly recommend this house. It was a great vacation!

Perfect house for family getaway

Meg F.West Hartford CTWe were in the Temecula area for a family event, and this house was a perfect retreat for a group of us who had travelled in from out of state. We had between 8 and 10 at the house over our stay and we had more than enough room for everyone to spread out. We didn’t rent the attached casita, so can’t comment on it, but the rest of the house was great. The kitchen was massive and the central feature and gathering space in the home, including a large, well appointed bar area with wine fridge. The pool table near the kitchen was a nice feature and we had some fun playing as a group. The patio and pool area were lovely with a nice balance of shade and sun. We didn’t really use the pool as it was chilly during our stay, but there is a large round table perfect for games or dining, and several lounge chairs. We also didn’t use the spa, but be aware that the cost is extra based on the amount of propane used to heat it. All bedrooms were in good condition and comfortable (all queens and one king in master), and all but one, attached to the master, had their own en suite bath. We didn’t use the bedroom attached to the master, but it seems as if it was an office converted to a bedroom. It would be fine space, but the person sleeping in that room would either have to share the master bath or use the hall powder room. Sharing the master would be fine, as it’s huge, except that there is no door on the master bedroom separating it from the master bath, which could present privacy issues to work around. As others have said, stock up on groceries in town, as it’s about a 20 min drive to go back to retail areas. The neighborhood is gated and full of citrus trees. The house is perfectly situated to take in the beautiful hot air ballonons that launch nearby in the mornings, but we missed out this time because of a morning fog layer that persisted during our visit. The one thing I would note is that the house is beginning to show its age, and there were some minor maintenance issues, but the property managers are extremely responsive and were a pleasure to work with. Overall, I’d definitely recommend the property if you need space for a larger group and want easy access to the wineries and beauty of Temecula.

Vicky S.This is a beauty!! Furnished very nicely, the view from a mountain top stunning especially in the early mornings with the balloons rising from the valley and then at nights with the lights. BUT what hit us in the face was the smell of the citrus orchards around the property, heavenly. The beds were very comfortable, and we each had our own on-suite bathrooms. We also rented the Casita that had everything the main house had and one of the families with 2 small children enjoyed(the babies could take naps and not be disturbed). We were here for our daughters wedding and it was very convenient to the venue. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. I would recommend this to any group or family gathering. IT WAS STUNNING INSIDE AND OUT.

This was all one very large space that allowed all of us to be together but not intrude on the other. The kitchen being in the center was one of the things I always look for, as one of our family is a gourmet cook. One small drawback (this from the cook) would be: knives need sharpening, and the cooking pans were limiting (not in number). One person said there were not enough spoons. This did not hamper our stay in the house. We consider it to be one of the very best we have rented in about 15 years of holiday vacations.

The pool is spectacular and every morning, we were greeted by a vista of hot air balloons rising up over the valley below. A few minor items need to be updated and addressed but the beds were super comfy and the kitchen is HUGE!!! The two fridges came in very handy.
All in all, a great place to enjoy convenient access to the many wineries but still secluded and peaceful.

This was much better than separate hotel rooms. The fact that all the bedrooms had their own baths was so convenient especially the day of the wedding when everyone had to dress up for the big day. The property manager met us at the property and walked through the house with us so we were well versed on the rules and operating instructions for the pool, etc. Would definitely stay here again.

Tami S.Where do you live?We came to Temecula for my sons wedding and rented this with our family from out of state. This house was AMAZING and the views incredible. It fit all of our needs for the trip. It was beautifully decorated had enough space for everyone. We enjoyed the large kitchen and bar area to gather, sitting area, and used the spa every night. It was a cold trip so we did not use the pool, but I bet in the summer would have been GREAT. We set up cornhole games in the backyard and BBQ'd. The yard furniture is top of the line. The exterior area with the pavers and views of the Hot air balloons every AM was WONDERFUL! We did not rent the Casita, in my opinion shouldnt be additional because it is attached to the home and only a door lock away, so I do not know what that looked like..? Fair warning, which was not clear in the house discription, or at least to us, was one of the 7 bedrooms is an outside room, with an exterior entrance. The bathroom is very small and the carpet really should be changed. Family members didnt like to be separate. One of the other 7 bedrooms is really an office with a bed and dresser which is fine, but that guest had to walk all the way down the hallway to use the half bath. To shower, the closest bath was the master, and I wasnt a FAN of sharing that bathroom, however it all worked out fine in the end.
The water temperature wasnt great. We had a couple of guests that just could not get a HOT shower. There were plently of complimentary pantry items, spices, sugar etc. and we had every utensil needed to cook with etc. The house was very CLEAN too. There were NO strange odors or bugs/spiders/ants anywhere. Funny, we had two dogs that would saunter through the yard just about every day, they didnt bother us, but we did see them. All the bedrooms, except the master had queen size beds. Another King bed in one of the rooms would be a plus. The owner was very accomodating and did try to rectify the cold water situation. However it did not happen during our stay. All in all this is a wonderful home and you will love staying here.

The pool was a great success and all four of our grandchildren (aged 4 to 8) developed real confidence in the water during our stay. The spacious accommodation was also a big plus for us.
Perhaps the best test of any such arrangement is how any problems are dealt with. The internet connection failed part way through our stay and the new aerial required was installed within 48 hours - a much appreciated speedy response.

Samantha O.John was a great host. We had a couple of concerns as we have a dog, and the neighbors and orchard employees would let their dogs run loose off leash. We also had a problem with the wifi internet; John sent Wayne, a colleague, to fix the wifi but it consistently went out during our 7 day stay. Beautiful property, but there is a wait time for bathing and shower water to warm up (despite the 2 water heaters), so be patient.

Jacki M.The layout and privacy of this home was essential for the over 60 "senior" crowd that just happen to be my guests for my 60th birthday. Ample room for parking, ample room in the kitchen for the wanna-be chefs, ample room at the BBQ for the BBQ masters and the additional nice touch of having a bar available for the festivities. Even though we had rain, lightening and thunder, the covered patio and furniture allowed us to enjoy ourselves outside regardless of the added moisture. The other added amenity was the only bedroom that shared a bathroom off the master suite...perfect for the snoring spouse! Again a much needed area for the senior crowd.

Lisa M.House and pool are beautiful. Plenty of space to stretch out and relax or cook a huge meal to enjoy with your family or group. We had a lot of family and the en-suites make it all worth it with the privacy factor. Pool was smaller than perceived in the picture but plenty big enough for us to enjoy. You're about 20 minutes away to great shopping, restaurants and the casino. We didn't partake in the wineries but they were everywhere and the area is beautiful. I would highly recommend this house. It was a great vacation!

There were 6 of us with 2 babies. We bought a "new pack and play" & left it. Also provision for a small ladder for shorter people to get into the master bed would have been nice. But..we loved the spaciousness, furnishings, & conveniences you provided for an awesome stay. Thank you!!

Calvin M.Every year we go on a family vacation and this is among one of the nicest homes we’ve rented. It has a fun swimming pool with a slide that the kids really enjoyed. It is also well appointed and has everything you need for a fun and relaxing vacation with the family, including a big kitchen, pool table, big screen TV, etc. I would highly recommend renting this home for your vacation and we would rent again next year if it’s still available.

Jane B.Our stay was wonderful! The accommodations were all that we needed for our family of 9 adults and 5 children. The Christmas tree and decorations made us feel we were at home away from home on Christmas Day. The weather did not permit us to enjoy the pool and the outdoor barbecue area. I will consider coming back in the summer. This place was just that nice and comfortable.

Doug L.The home itself is beautiful and very comfortable. John was easily reachable any time we had any questions. Home entertainment options were great, plenty of places for the kids to run around and hang out, and an awesome pool. The only downside was that the heating element in the jacuzzi never worked for us (John did send out a repair guy the next morning but it couldn't be fixed due to a parts issue). To his credit, John did credit us for this inconvenience. I'd say very good and would recommend to other people.

Jesse g.To start, the week we spent in the house was a very nice experience. When we walked into the house it was like a breath of realisation like "wow, we're finally here". After a long 30~ hour trip, coming into the house and seeing that everything was nice and clean was nice since we didn't have to worry about cleaning it first. As we settled in we realised how beautiful the view was from the house and how quiet it was, which is great since we come from Chicago and those things don't really apply to where we live. The pool and grilling area was great, especially the pool which was nice and clean. But one of the better features of staying here for the week was the fact that Hollywood buelevard and santa monica were not that far (about 3 hours if I remember) which was great. I would recommend this house to anybody, especially if your a big family or if your going with two families, but people who don't like being isolated this might not be for you, but regardless staying here was a very nice experience.

Jeff C.From the moment you arrive you feel like a rock star driving up the long BEAUTIFUL driveway to the house. Once you get out, your view in every direction is awesome! Upon entry you walk through the double doors into a gorgeous foyer with tall ceilings making it feel like the beginning of an episode of MTV cribs. The house is BEAUTIFULLY furnished, and I am materialistic when it comes to playing and getting my money's worth. So well kept and clean, the master bedroom will make you feel like a King the first time you walk in. Let's not forget about the pool area. Perfectly kept slide, jacuzzi, and outdoor lounging area. The rock formation with the waterfall and slide are on point. There were no issues at all, no bugs, no dirty linens, literally a "perfect getaway." John and Gary are awesome down to earth guys, and for the life of me, I don't think you will get a better bang for your buck when it comes to this property, and trust me I've searched all over VRBO. This may be a return location for years to come if it continues to be so well maintained and managed! Enjoy your stay, you won't regret booking here!

The house was spotless as we arrived. The master bedroom was beautiful, as well as the formal and regular living room. The kitchen had everything you needed to set up a nice grill out side of the pool. The pool was also wonderful to hangout around as it had a slide, Jacuzzi, waterfall. I wish I had spent more time at the house and it was wonderful to be in. I would 100% come back to this property. Thank you John for making our stay in California wonderful.

Brenda G.We enjoyed this property immensely! It is in a lovely setting in the hills, and was very convenient since our wedding was right there at my sister's place just down the road in La Cresta. There were a few technical difficulties...there is not great cell service up there, and it seems the frig and the heat/air are both set on timers where no matter where we set them...they went back to their lower settings. (We lost a couple cartons of ice cream the first day until we figured it out!)Be sure to ask about it on check in! We alerted the property manager of a malfunctioning shower/tub faucet ...no problem getting water...it is just difficult to turn on....and a couple other non-working items. There were tons of bath and pool towels available, which we appreciated. The kids were facinated by the pond full of tadpoles! We did get a couple of bee stings while there...the bees were all around the pool and the pond. Don't know if there is a way to spray for them...but they really scared the kids after the first sting was to our 5 year old! Perhaps a good review by exterminators for hives built around the house regularly this time of year would be helpful. Our overall rating of this house would be Very Good. With attention to just a couple of the details...it would have been excellent!

The pool and surrounding area is setup great for outdoor fun and eating. The view and sounds of the surrounding countryside are very relaxing. We have stayed in this area before and find the old town of Temecula to be a great place to spend some time. It is also a great area to stay to visit all the parks in LA and San Diego area. John and Gary were always just a phone call away if anything came up and this made the stay very smooth. Security deposit was returned very promptly. We would highly recommend this home.

We had a lot of our family staying with us and having a room for everyone with a couple to spare was the best. Being able to just relax by the pool was the best experience out of everything. Our son decided to spend his time the night before his wedding with us around the pool the night and that was such a peace of mind! Every morning we sat outside and was amazed how peaceful and quiet it was watching the hot air balloons take off. We will be booking again with you.
PS make sure you check out the big comfy couch and ping pong table in the garage, that was a huge hit for our family!

Simply the Best!

Rhonda M.First we'd like to say John was very responsive from beginning to end. I must have contacted him multiple times asking questions, etc. He was always very accommodating, nice and very easy to work with.
We rented this amazing home & the guest house to accommodate 20 of our family & friends who were visiting from all over to attend our wedding, which was held at Wilson Creek Winery (4 miles away). All of our guests were so impressed with all that the house had to offer. We all enjoyed breathtaking views, daily swimming, BBQ'ing, lounging in the waterfall jacuzzi, and billard games. The younger adults played ping pong & hung out in the 3 car garage which was an added bonus.
At least 1/2 our guests took videos of the house to brag to all those who weren't there...... calling it "Our Mansion for the Week."
We had lovely family meals & were surprised to find lots of spices & cooking supplies; ie. Crock pots.
Our family talked about pooling all of our funds together to purchase the house... lol. But then decided we would settle for an annual family gathering to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
We look forward to our stay next year!
Thank you John for sharing this little piece of paradise with our family! We made memories that will last a lifetime!

George R.We spent 4 wonderful nights here May 17-21st and loved every bit of it. We also rented the 3BR 2BA cottage which is on the same property. Between the two homes, my visiting relatives from the East Coast were able to all be together before my daughter's wedding at Wilson Creek Winery (which is only minutes away). We started every morning with the Hot Air Balloons flying over the house. Otherwise, the property is very private and peaceful. The pool area is large, BBQ area has a nice patio cover with ample seating. Sun filled afternoons lounging poolside and Jacuzzi evenings laughing and enjoying the beautiful scenery. We had plenty of room for everyone to enjoy. Everything about our stay here in Temecula was amazing. The home is very spacious, clean & beautifully decorated. Extremely spacious for our group of 10 women, but can definitely hold more people. Loved the huge kitchen and the master suite and backyard are incredible. The owner was super helpful and was knowledgeable about the area. We purchased wine tasting passes from the Temecula Wine Growers Assoc which are good Mon-Fri and offer a nice discount. The Saturday farmers market in Old Town is impressive. There are many great restaurant in the area. We really enjoyed our outdoor lunch at Mama Tosa’s Trattoria at Robert Renzoni’s winery.
